Camping at Myrtle Beach, SC
As a kid we traveled by car to our various vacation destinations and stayed in hotels and visited the local sights and attractions. It wasn’t until I was married that I was introduced to camping Myrtle Beach Travel Park style.
The Myrtle Beach Travel Park is a throwback to the 1960’s and 1970’s and is a family only camp. You cannot rent a site in the park unless you are part of a family unit. Teenagers can’t get together with friends and reserve a spot. The campground closes the gate at 11 pm so and they enforce quiet time after dark. This keeps noise to a minimum and allows families to get their children to bed at a decent hour and they can enjoy the ocean breeze once the sun goes down.
It is a standard campground that has its own outdoor and indoor pool, lazy river, arcade, and concession stand and campground store. You wouldn’t even have to leave the campground during your entire stay as long as you planned well. On the way into the campground there is a Kroger grocery store and a Wal-Mart superstore. If you purchase most of what you need on the way in, you can get things you forget at the camp store.
